About Dugas Cottage

It is for rent 12 months a year! Our cottage is located at the end of Black Point next to Queensland, a beautiful area of Nova Scotia.. There are so many things to do; hiking, fishing, whale watching and we are located 30 minutes from Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital city. Plus home to the ever historic Peggy's Cove and the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. This is a (Self Contained) 3 Bedroom Cape Cod Style with all the amenities.

Things to Do

Here are just some of the many things you can do while staying at Dugas Cottage.

SWIMMING
OCEAN SWIMMING across the road from our cottage or one mile away are 2 of Nova Scotia's best swimming beaches - Conrad's & Queensland Beach. Haligonians/Bluenosers (Slang for Nova Scotians) have said this to be "THE BEACH" in the Halifax Area.

GOLFING
In BAYSIDE (short 15-20 minute drive), visiting golfers are welcome to enjoy the challenge and excitement of GRANITE SPRINGS GOLF COURSE. This is a Championship golf course overlooking the beautiful waters of SHAD BAY. (tel 1-902-852-3419)

FISHING
Enjoy DEEP SEA FISHING 10 minutes from Peggy's Cove, on a 42 foot CAPE ISLANDER BOAT. Tours are 3 1/2 hours long, Admission is $39.00. Call Jim Buckley at (1-902-823-1818).

PEGGY'S COVE
You are approx 30 minutes from Nova Scotia's most famous tourist attraction, Peggy's Cove. Offering restaurants, gift shops, and the only lighthouse post office in Canada.

HALIFAX - CITY LIFE
Your only a 30-40 minute drive from Halifax, where there is endless entertainment such as Casinos, Fine Dining, Theatres, Restaurants, Museums, Churches, Nightclubs.
